Brown Acropol, A Member Of Brown Hotels

The location of the hotel was great. Quite central, and close to the Metro. Check-in was okay. But, for a 4* Hotel, I was really disappointed with the room I was staying in, especially as a Solo traveller. The room was right at the back of the hotel, where there's no light and the double lock wouldn't lock on the door at all. I hardly slept as I was paranoid that someone would come into my room, and the room itself was very dusty. Lighting was awful, the curtains were really dusty and literally falling apart. It was like, the room hasn't been used for a very long time. The mini fridge was empty and it wasn't even on. The bathroom was creepy. It had mould around the bathtub, the tiles were cracked, the heater or the AC don't work and there's an electrical box in there too. Like, it's a maintenance room or the house-keepers quarter. I've worked in 4* and 3* Hotels before. I've never come across a room this weird in my life. The hotel itself, is nice and clean and the rooftop is amazing! The hotel does feel like, you're in a nightclub, with security guards outside, which is a good thing in a way, they do make you feel safe and they're very polite! Victoria the receptionist was lovely to talk to as well. I guess, if you're going as a couple or family, you would have better experience here. I don't know! 🤷‍♀️ I think I had high expectations, as this is a 4* hotel and it didn't meet my expectations. Whereas, a few weeks ago, I stayed in a 3* hotel in Barcelona, and had an amazing experience there, even though I was dreading it.

Lovely hotel and the reception staff are fantastic. We were welcomed with a LARGE glass of prosecco which was great 😁. The rooms are of a good standard and comfy. We stayed in room 207 with a balcony. The breakfast is fantastic and a huge selection of everything. The bar staff can be a bit hit and miss. I had to practically talk a staff member on how to make a G&T which was awkwardly amusing. Views from the roof terrace are great too. Not a bad place 👌🏻
